The PADI Scuba Diver certification on Neil Island is a streamlined entry-level course that qualifies you to dive to 12 metres with a professional, a good option for shorter Andaman stays. You will train on Neil's calm shallow reefs before exploring sites like Nemo Reef.
PADI Scuba Diver is a subset of Open Water using PADI Touch eLearning, certifies to 12 m under supervision, and can be upgraded to full Open Water Diver later with a PADI card.
Training uses Neil's protected shallow reefs like Nemo Reef (5-12 m) and Coral Safari, whose calm water and clownfish-filled anemones make a good learning environment. Warm 27-30C water and the gentle November-May season ease first-time nerves.
