Extend your range to the recreational limit with the PADI Deep Diver specialty at Kovalam, diving to 40 metres in the warm Arabian Sea off the Kerala coast. Across four training dives near Kovalam you learn deep-dive planning, gas management and how to recognise and respond to nitrogen narcosis. You finish certified to dive to 40 metres, the recreational maximum.
The PADI Deep Diver specialty certifies you to the 40-metre recreational limit and counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. The first deep dive can be credited from the Advanced Open Water deep adventure dive.
Deep training dives use the deeper sites off the Kovalam coast in the Arabian Sea. The calm post-monsoon season, roughly October to March, and warm 27-30°C water give the steadiest conditions for working at depth.
