PADI Discover Scuba Diving is your first breath underwater in the warm, clear lagoons of Baa Atoll in the Maldives. Under the direct supervision of a PADI professional, beginners learn a few basic skills and then explore a shallow house reef near Dharavandhoo, often meeting turtles and reef fish. It is an experience programme rather than a certification, but it can credit toward the Open Water course.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience under direct professional supervision, not a certification. The skills you practise can be credited toward the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course if you continue.
First dives take place on the sheltered, shallow house reefs around Dharavandhoo in Baa Atoll, where calm 27-30°C water and frequent turtle and reef-fish sightings make an easy introduction to diving.
