Course overview

Try breathing underwater for the first time with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience on Thailand's Phi Phi Islands. No certification or experience is needed. After a short briefing you learn a few basic skills in shallow, sheltered water, then make a guided dive over Phi Phi's coral gardens with an instructor by your side. It is the easiest, safest way to find out if scuba diving is for you.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe comfortably underwater using scuba equipment
• Equalise your ears and clear water from your mask
• Recover and clear a regulator underwater
• Move and stay balanced using simple buoyancy control
• Communicate with basic underwater hand signals

Prerequisites

• No experience or swimming certification required
• Minimum age 10
• Reasonable health and comfort in water (simple medical questionnaire)
• Able to follow basic instructions in the water
