Learn the techniques of safe wreck exploration with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Komodo, applying careful planning and penetration skills to the area's sunken structures and steep underwater relief. You build reel use, navigation and air management around overhead environments, along with the discipline wreck diving demands. You finish certified as a PADI Wreck Diver.
PADI Wreck Diver is a specialty course that counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. Limited penetration is taught only with continuous-guideline technique; full overhead penetration requires further technical training.
Wreck and structure diving in the Komodo area combines artificial and natural relief with the region's steep topography, where currents are managed through careful tide planning during the April-to-November season.
