SSI Basic Diver on Havelock is a gentle entry point that combines a short knowledge session with supervised dives in the calm Andaman Sea. It suits cautious beginners, introducing scuba over Havelock's sheltered coral reefs off Beach No. 3, with clownfish and parrotfish for company. It is a stepping stone you can build into a full Open Water certification.
SSI Basic Diver uses a free digital orientation and credits directly toward the SSI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification.
Basic Diver uses Havelock's calm, shallow beginner reefs off Beach No. 3 in 6-12 metre water. The clear, warm Andaman Sea shows off coral gardens busy with clownfish and parrotfish. These protected sites are diveable year-round, even in the monsoon.
