Start your professional diving career with the SSI Dive Guide and Divemaster path in Phuket, leading on the Andaman Sea's warm, reef-rich sites such as Shark Point and Racha Yai. You develop the dive-leadership, supervision and customer-care skills SSI professionals need before guiding certified divers in 27-30C water. The certification opens the door to the SSI professional ratings.
In the SSI system the leadership ladder runs Dive Guide then Divemaster, all recorded digitally in MySSI. The Divemaster rating lets you guide certified divers and assist instructors, and it is the prerequisite for SSI instructor training.
Training and internship dives use Phuket's reef sites including Shark Point, Anemone Reef and Racha Yai, where moderate currents and 27-30C water in the November-to-April season build practical leadership experience.
