Course overview

Extend your bottom time on Komodo's deeper sites with the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty, learning to dive enriched-air blends safely. You master gas analysis, computer setup and oxygen-exposure planning, a clear advantage when working the park's seamounts and manta sites at depth. You finish certified to dive with enriched air.

What you’ll learn

• Understand the benefits and limits of enriched air
• Analyse cylinder oxygen content and label it correctly
• Calculate maximum operating depth and exposure limits
• Program a dive computer for nitrox
• Manage oxygen and nitrogen loading across dives
• Plan extended no-decompression times at depth

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (junior certification)
• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

1. Day1
   Theory, analysis and certification

   Complete the MySSI study, practise gas analysis and computer setup, optionally apply it on a dive, then certify as an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox diver.
