Course overview

For certified divers, guided fun dives out of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island open up the Galapagos' best sites, from the hammerhead crater at Gordon Rocks to the eagle-ray channels of North Seymour and Mosquera. Two-tank day trips are led by professionals who match each site to your experience and the day's conditions. No course is needed, just a current certification and logged dives.

What you’ll learn

• Use drift and current techniques on guided dives
• Handle cool water and variable visibility
• Spot and identify hammerheads, rays, turtles and sea lions
• Accumulate logged-dive experience toward advanced sites

Prerequisites

• SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent for shallower sites
• Advanced Adventurer and around 25 to 30 logged dives for current sites like Gordon Rocks
• Recent dive experience or a refresher if inactive
• Diver medical questionnaire completed beforehand

   Morning departure from Puerto Ayora, two guided dives matched to your level at sites such as North Seymour, Mosquera or Gordon Rocks, with a surface interval and snacks between dives.
