The SSI Scuba Skills Update is for certified divers returning after time away. It refreshes core skills and knowledge through the DiveSSI app and is recommended before fun diving if you have been inactive.
The Scuba Skills Update uses the calm shallows off Nilaveli for skills and the gentle Pigeon Island Marine Park reefs for the easing-back dive. The settled water during the calm May-to-September window, with April and October still diveable on either side suits returning divers.
